Terms of use
The short version: read freely, use our guides, do not pass our material off as medical advice or as your own.
Who we are
This website is run by Counted Health CIC, a community interest company limited by guarantee, registered in England and Wales, company number 17425338. Counted Health CIC is not a registered charity.
What this website is for
Counted Health CIC explains how health research and clinical trials work. Everything here is general education.
What this website is not
Nothing on this website is medical advice. We cannot tell you whether to join any study, take any medicine, or make any health decision. For advice about your own health, speak to your doctor. If you are deciding whether to join a research study, the research team must explain it to you and answer your questions. You always have the right to say no, and the right to leave a study at any time without it affecting your care.
We signpost, we do not recruit
We point towards a broad range of genuine research opportunities, but nothing on this website is an invitation to join any specific study, and Counted Health CIC is never paid by anyone to find participants.
Using our materials
Our guides are free for individuals and community groups to use, print and share for non-commercial community education, as long as Counted Health CIC is credited and the materials are not changed or sold. For any other use, ask us first at hello@countedhealth.org.
Accuracy
We work hard to keep everything on this site accurate and current, and we reference our sources. But rules and research change, and we cannot guarantee that every detail is complete or up to date at the moment you read it. Where it matters, check with the research team, your doctor, or the official bodies we point to.
Other websites
Where we link to other organisations, we are not responsible for their content.
Liability
We do not exclude any liability that cannot be excluded by law. Beyond that, Counted Health CIC is not liable for loss arising from use of this website or reliance on its general educational content.
The legal bits
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
